Permits Required For Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley Trekking

A trekker must receive 5 permits for Manaslu Trekking (from Jagat village to Dharapani). Without these Manaslu Permits they cannot enter the Conservation Area. Manaslu circuit trek permit required 1 restricted area Permit of Manaslu while Tsum Valley trekking require 2 restricted area Permits.

The Restricted area permit as per Nepalese Government rules is compulsory from Jagat and ends at Samagaon. And the exact restricted area Starts from Jagat and ends at Dharapani.   • Spring: March to May: 100 USD for each

On offseason 

There is a different cost for Manaslu Circuit Trek permit on off-season.

  • December to February and June to August: 75 USD for each person

Tims card for foreign nationals are different depending upon the country. For SAARC countries national it is at the lower price, and for foreigners from Europe, America, or other Asian National price is little higher.

  • For foreigners: 1000NPR
  • For SAARC: 300 each for group trekkers
  • 600 each for individual

TSUM valley Permit Costs

What are the Terms and Conditions to Obtain the Manaslu Trekking Permit and Enter the Trekking area?

  • The special permit is not valid for individual trekkers(Need to have at least 2 people in a group to obtain it. All the permits are non-refundable and dates cannot be shifted.
  • The trekking with this permit can only enter a specific area for a specific time only after then charges are applicable.
  • Each trekker must follow the rules set by National Park and conservation area and is not allowed to throw garbage or swim in the glacier lakes.
  • Permits must be carried throughout the entire trip and should do entry and exit.

Entry permits will not be issued from any check posts along the entire trekking routes. Yet, under special circumstances, entry permits may be issued from the check posts with a 100% additional charge. So, you have to take the necessary entry permits before entering the Conservation Areas.

Places to obtain the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley plus ACAP Permits

ACAP and MCAP permits are to be obtained from the Nepal tourism board, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

TIMS card to be obtained from TIMS headquarter in Maligaun.

Special permits are to be obtained from the department of Immigration, Kathmandu.

Documents Required to Obtain Manaslu Permits

To obtain the Manaslu Trekking Permits you need to provide your Passport with a valid Nepalese tourist Visa, and 2 pp size photos. It generally takes about 2 hours to obtain the Permits.

No, to obtain Manaslu Permits Travelers must be aware that they can only be obtained from the Local Trekking agency of Nepal.
