Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Kathmandu Arrival

Highest Altitude :

1300m

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the team and then you will be transferred to your hotel. This trail goes through Ghorepani Poon Hill. Normally, the trek starts like Phokhara to Nayapul and ends like Phedi to Pokhara.

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Pokhara ( By drive 6 hours/ flight 35 minutes

We will today depart from Kathmandu to Pokhara early in the morning. Our plan for today is to reach Pokhara and have a look around Lakeside city in the afternoon.

Day 3 : Pokhara to Ghandruk(1900m) Via nayapul

A beautiful day to start the trip. Early in the morning, we will depart from Pokhara by Private Transportation. It would take about 4 hours to drive from Pokhara to reach Ghadruk Village. Stay overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 4 : Ghandruk to Chomrong and then to SInuwa

Today we will hike for around 4-5 hours to reach Sinuwa. Sinuwa is also a tourist village we will stay overnight at Sinuwa. It would take about 4 hours hike and then again trek about 1.5 hours more to reach Sinuwa.

Day 5 : Sinuwa to Deurali(3230m)

Morning breakfast and start our Today’s Journey. Today is a little bit harder for us as we are gaining more and more altitudes. It would take about a 6-hour hike uphill to reach deurali. Overnight Stay at Deurali.

Day 6 : Trekking from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13422ft) via Machhapuchchre Base Camp (3700m/12025ft)

We are going to have a beautiful morning breakfast and be ready to Hike a little more to Annapurna Base Camp. Today is a special day for our main destination the Annapurna Base Camp. From deurali it would take about a 5-6 hours hike to reach the Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 7 : Trekking back from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7507ft).

We got what we came for and that was an amazing experience to reach the Annapurna Base Camp. Afterward, we will be back to Bamboo going all the way down to 2310m. It will take about 7 hours to reach the amazing Bamboo.

Day 8 : Trekking from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1780m/5785ft)

Bamboo to Jhinu it would be an Updown trek on our classic beaten path. We are going to need 5 hours walk to reach Jhinu Dada. Dada means hill in English. Jhinu Dada’s specialty is it got hot spring. You can take a shower at hot spring if you are interested.

Day 9 : Jhinu to Pokhara

By walking around 1 hour down. We will cross a suspension bridge and then take our Car back to Pokhara. overnight at Pokhara.

Day 10 : Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu

We will drive back to Kathmandu by Vehicle ( Bus/Car/Flight) Overnight at Kathmandu

What is included in Annapurna Base Camp Trek

  • Pick-up or Drop-off service from and to Airport(in our own vehicle)

  • Food all along the trip(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and a cup of coffee or tea) and accommodations during the trip in hotels with a family environment

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.
Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp trek?
No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.
What about internet access in Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.
Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?
Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hiring a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the off-season. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
What food will you have during Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
