The weather situation in Mera Peak is always changing it is very hard to say when will be good and when will be bad weather. It is never very warm in the Mera Peak region. The lowest temperature in the region will be in January and the highest temperature in July, and August( above 0 degrees Celcius).
You will be able to experience different weather conditions throughout your trip. The weather from Kathmandu to Mera Peak top will be vastly different.
There is three climatic zone accordingly to our itinerary: Sub-Alpine, Alpine, and Artic. These climatic are categorized by the weather, temperature, plants and vegetation, and Flora. Climbing Mountain means you are going to a high altitude and high-risk area. It is not as easy as talking. One of the main risks of the height at that meter is that people will generally get sick. Due to the high altitude and low oxygen level, most of the time body can’t handle it. If the body can’t handle the environment of the Mountain then high-altitude sickness happens. Symptoms of High Altitude sickness
It is normal to get high altitude sickness while climbing Mera Peak. There are a few things you should consider for Mera Peak Climbing so that you can prevent high altitude sickness:
The Mera Peak Climbing is very much designed for Fit people, it doesn’t mean that Children and older people are not fit or physically strong. Children and old people might not like these kinds of high altitude climbing adventures and also ethnically it doesn’t suit them and there is a high risk too. Travel Away doesn’t recommend this trip for Older people, Children, or those with medical conditions who are not suited to do this Trip.
Either a Private or sharing bus to Ramechhap is arranged by Travel Away Trek. All the Transportation from Kathmandu to Ramechhap is in well-maintained condition with comfortable seats. Similarly, Ramechhap to Kathmandu Transportation is also the same as Kathmandu to Ramechhap Transportation.
Small STOL twin otter aircraft will be booked for you to the Lukla and similar flights back to the Ramechhap. The total number of seats on each flight would be around 20.
A registered Trekking agency in Nepal is eligible to issue Climbing Permits for Mera Peak. Besides this, you first require to pay 250USD for Garbage deposits. There is no group discount for Mera Peak Climbing. Climbing Permit costs around 250USD per person. Apart from a Climbing permit, you need an extra Local Permit, Sagarmatha National Park Permit, and Makalu Barun National Park permit.

Today is your trek start day but first, fly to Lukla. The flight to Lukla is a scenic flight. It is around 15 minutes flight from Ramechhap, Manthali Airport.
After reaching Lukla, You will take a local permit. Our Guide will do that for you. And then start your Hike towards Chhutang. Chhutang is east of Lukla, you need several permits on the way as you will pass from several restricted villages.
Walking through the Pine and Rhododenrop thick forest along the black mountain ridge encountering lots of connected trails which might be confusing. You will finally reach Chhutang.
Note: This trail is less crowded and confusing so don’t get too away from your Guide.

After a fresh morning breakfast, your will start today’s journey towards Tuli Kharka which is at 4600m.
Starting today you need lots of strength as it will be more challenging. You will gain more altitude today. A lot of effort and willpower is required to reach on top of the Zatrawala Pass. After reaching on top of Zatrawala, you will descend for about 2 hours to reach Tuli Kharka via Chattre.

You will again walk alongside the Hinku River. The river will guide you to Gondishung where you will have your Day Lunch. There is one of the oldest Buddhist Gomba of the Khumbu in Gondishung (Lungsumgba Gomba).
