The Gokyo Lakes are a series of lakes that many trekkers visit during the Gokyo Lake trek. The lakes–Baiju, Dopche, Lagnam, Ngozumpa, Pangbuk and Pangshang–are all downstream from the glacier, and are located within the Sagarmatha National Park area in northern Nepal.

Gokyo Lake Trek Itinerary

The Gokyo Lake Trek begins with your  appearance in Kathmandu, where you’ll be transferred to an  meetly equipped  hostel.  The first day is a chance to relax and prepare for the  forthcoming  passage in the Himalayas. 

The following morning, a scenic flight brings you to the  vill of Lukla, the  morning of the Gokyo Lake  journey.   From Lukla, you  journey through Sherpa  townlets and along the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding. 

The trail is peaceful, with stunning views along with traditional alpine  townlets.  On Day 3, a longer walk takes you to Namche Bazaar, the bustling heart of the Khumbu region.  

To allow the body to  acclimatize to the altitude, Day 4 is spent as an  adaptation day in Namche.  You’ll hike to the world- notorious Everest View Hotel and visit Khumjung Village to learn about the  girding culture.   This day is used for the  adaptation process for the advanced  mound of the Gokyo Lakes Trek Diary.  

The  journey continues on Day 5 toward Dole, passing through alpine  timbers and beautiful ridgelines.  The views  handed by the Khumbila and Tawache peaks restore one’s morale on reaching the peaceful  agreement of Dole.  This section of the trail is full of wildflower species during springtime and has  various  woods during afterlife.  

Day 6 takes you further up the  vale to the  vill of Machhermo at  4,470  measures.  One will cross broad ridgelines and meadows that present dramatic views and sweeping  geographies.  Machhermo is a peaceful haven for rest and enjoyment of the  stirring Himalayan  geography.  

On Day 7, you reach Gokyo after passing glacial gutters and lakes along the Ngozumpa Glacier.  The trip will bear crossing the first two lakes before reaching the  graphic  third Gokyo Lake.   pronounced by its clear waters and views of Cho Oyu, this place is the highlight of the Gokyo Lake Trek.  

Day 8 offers a  daylight hike to Gokyo Ri for jaw- dropping views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu.   After the  journey, a person continues to Dole along the same route, passing through stunning alpine terrain.

On Day 9, the  journey continues towards Namche,  also there’s a  journey to Lukla on Day 10.
